Alton Bay Pavilion

I had wanted to post this while we were at the lake, but I couldn't get internet access. At any rate, it saddened me to no end to see the dismantling of the Alton Bay Pavilion. I was hoping to get a few shots of the old place before construction began, but I was too late in arriving.

The worst moment came when we were driving on East Shore Drive across the bay from the pavilion and I could see right through it to the parking lot. That just about killed me.

The plans look nice, but it will never, ever be the same. :(

I am an avid scrapbooker and was hoping to do a page in my NH book on the pavilion, but have found that I have absolutely no pics of the place. I tried to search the photo post here, but am obviously doing something wrong. Can anyone help me out here?

Thanks for the info. I do have a couple of postcards that I picked up this summer including one of a Big Band type of orchestra playing in the pavilion.
I will keep looking!
