Hi,
Can anyone suggest a good place on the lake to have wooden boats worked on (both engine work and the boat itself)? I have a 1947 17' Chris Craft which needs a little work.

Try Fay's boat yard. Lots of older wooden Cris Crafts.

There's a guy that has a shop at the corner of Rt. 3 and Rollercoaster Road in Weirs (Right across from the Tamarack Restaurant) that does work on wooden boats. Also, Harpers on Rt. 3 in Meredith.

Try Phil Spencer in Wolfeboro. He has done several boat show boats for my family.

No one's gonna be able to fix it; might as well throw in the towel now. I'll be over to take that old hulk off your hands... :D
Glad to hear you are preserving such a wonderful piece of the past. I just love seeing those old boats on the lake. Good luck! Post pictures please.
