I just got a letter in the mail with a new gas rebate form specifically for those who have toys. (ATV, Boat, snowmachines)
The biggest change that I see is that there are no quarterly restrictions. So that means I can submit one form for the whole year. I wonder if anyone else received a letter and correct me if I am wrong about the quarterly restrictions.

I received (probably) the same letter and form. I gather they had too many complaints about the quarterly thing ...... probably seemed like a good idea at the time ...

I get all my gas at one marina, and they do the Road Toll Rebate paperwork for you. I was told that the quarterly filing change had been done away with, so it's the normal annual filing again. Thank goodnes!

I thought the marinas are not suppose to send in the paperwork? That was what I was told by my marina.

For those wo thought MP was underfunded, and/or those who were concewrned about milfoil killing their pond or cove, te new refund form gives two new options. You can designate all or part of your refund to go to the Navigation Safety Fund, and/or to the Lake Preservation and Restoration fund for milfoil eradication. Some legislators wanted to raise boat registrtaion fees to boost these funds. At least this way, you get to tell the gov't where to allocate the $$, or you can still just ask for the refund.

The quarterly filing change was intendedto be consistent with filing requirements for major users of off road fuel (e.g. construction equipmrent) and recreational users got caught up in the change.

If your boat is on a trailer aand you fill up at a regular gas station, you can still get a refund. The applications are audited, so stop the pump and fill your boat tank separately. They might question using 400 gallons a season in your 20hp outboard.

Technically, they don't.

But what they do is keep track, then fill out the form, and mail it to ME, so I just sign it and mail it in. FYI, I use Andrew's Marina.
