The last two days I have been asked to log-in,which usually occurs automatically. When I enter my name and password it tells me its in valid.I requested and recieved another and was logged in.This morning again I was unable to login and had to request another password to login. Both times I had checked the"remember me" box but even so it would not recognize my password. What's up?

Nothing has changed on the server end and I haven't received any other complaints or noticed any problem myself. At this point I can only assume that something is going on with your computer.
The login information is stored in a "cookie" on your computer. If anything is preventing the cookie from being stored (like a security program) the forum will force you to log in every time you visit.
Sometimes strange behavior like this can be corrected by clearing all your temporary internet files (cache) and starting fresh. You could also try a different browser like FireFox (http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/) and see if the problem goes away.

Hi Don,
I too have encountered a few new glitches. they may or may not be related to SIK's problem.
After logging in I've gone to post a message. I click on PREVIEW and edit some but at some point I get a page that says I'm NOT logged in. I can enter my name and PW and get back to my message but this is new. It doesn't happen all the time though. Could it be that there is a timer and I take too long to finish writing my message? Any suggestions?
Thanks for the wonderful web site.

Thanks Don.I don't have any new security that I know of.I have not changed any settings since I first became a member years ago.I'll see if I can clear my cache.

When I tried to "supersize" the map in response #27 of the following thread, I was asked for a password. Should that be necessary?
