I was wondering if many boaters take advantage of the state gas refund program and what were the amounts that some people got back? I got back $68, and that was with the receipts I managed not to lose.

I received about $40 last year. It's a simple process. You just need to be disciplined to save your receipts. :)

Every year, usually about $125 - 150.

Got around $60 back. Shep Brown's still does the service of collecting/tracking your receipts for a small admin fee -- only difference last year was that once they compiled everthing and filled out the form, they send it all to you to mail to the state. I guess NH was getting pissy about the marina's sending the refund requests in directly. Real easy and you don't have to worry about losing receipts.

it's actually not that hard if you don't own a house. we come up every weekend. i put on 175 hours on the lake last year and 150 hours the year before. this year i've already put 40 hours on the lake. we're at the end of paugus bay, so going anywhere is always a bit of a trip.

it's better than paying those waterfront property taxes!!!! (sarcasm font applied)

It appears that NH has entered the 21st century and has posted a new form on the internet at:
http://www.state.nh.us/safety/administration/roadtoll/documents/rt122g.pdf

Keep in mind that the above form applies to boats, snowmobiles and any other off road vehicles using gas.

There's a separate form for diesel fuel at:
