Soooooooo...we held out a bit longer than usual hoping we'd get a nice foliage day on the lake, but it looks like today is our only real shot at returning Boatie Two this weekend without REALLY pushing it to the last two weekends at camp.

Fortunately, Moultonborough Bay will be the only real open area we need to cruise through (to Melvin Village Marina).

Anyone else going out today?!

I am far from the lake, so I cannot see the conditions, and I do not know your skill/comfort level (or perhaps more importantly, Mrs. Think's comfort level). But I know Melvin Village Marina will pick up your boat for you with advance scheduling. Peace of mind, and maybe another day or two on the water.

We were going to go out to Welch today to start our close up but doesn’t look like that is going to happen. Suppose to be perfectly calm tomorrow morning and rain holding off till late in the afternoon so tomorrow it is!!…

Our dock weather system is showing average wind 26 max 37. Not going to Welch today either. Yes tomorrow looks good.

Wind down significantly since this morning. Beautiful day on the island!

Next weekend is supposed to be around 70 degrees. My trip out today got put on hold.Though a tad choppy in Moultonborough Bay, we were going with the wind, so it was an uneventful ride. Boatie Two is safely at port!

If I had a different job, I'd totally have held out, but since school just started— and my seniors need all the help I can give for their college applications—I'm relegated to only weekends...which is a bit of a risk this late in the season.

Thank you for providing help and guidance to your students! Thanks, friend!

It's a pretty great career, and I'm very lucky to be where I am and to connect with my students like I do. Lots of awesome stories from having 2000+ students over the last twenty years!

We went out dinner time Friday night, relatively calm. Looked like the Tiki Bar was all lit up. Final trip around 10:00 pm for late arrivals. Being on the south side of Welch, not much wind, no waves, but branches and acorns pelted the roof all night. Cancelled a planned gathering for Saturday as nobody wanted to tackle the wind, waves, but a great Canadian Thanksgiving for those who arrived on Friday and stayed over. Closed up Sunday am, also a beautiful day until noonish. See you in the spring.
