Just amazing from on top of liberty hill in gilford. Would have loved to have seen it on the lake. Was able to see naked eye too

My wife and I went to the Joppa Hill Farm in Bedford tonight thinking it was a nice wide open space to see the lights. Unfortunately we and the other 100 or more people left disappointed. We've only seen the lights once and that was 40 years ago. We'll keep trying. Maybe we'll have better luck tomorrow night.

We saw them right from our house and they were incredible. I have never seen them before so was very excited.

We were in Bedford last night as well, and I went out several times and didn't see a darn thing. This weekend there is supposed to be a comet that you can see with the naked eye that hasn't gone by Earth since caveman days, so maybe that will work out.

That's weird because my sister in Nashua was the one that told me that she was seeing them. It was around 7pm-7:30 which reading up on them is very early for when they are usually seen. By 8pm they were gone visibly, but I did still take some pictures that could see the colors.
It's just strange that one town can see it but the one further north can't and the one to the east can but west can't. Right place right time I guess. Fingers crossed for tonight!!!

For once, I guess it was better here than up there - I was working at a HS football game when I started getting texts and pics from friends. It was incredible, though with stadium lights all I could really see was some faint red at and near the northern horizon. This pic was sent by a buddy less than mile from where I was. WOW!

We went out after 10 and it was cloudy to the north and broken to the east. It's supposed to be clear tonight. It's too special to not give it another try. The photos posted here are amazing. I still can't believe there were so many people at the farm that had the same idea I had.

We stood on the end of our dock last night and watched them for about 10 minutes. Absolutely stunning. It's only the second time I've seen them. The last time I was 100 miles north of Quebec City in Canada.

Hoping to see them again tonight!

I have a habit of missing the Northern Lights every time they are visible in this area! I last saw them in 1970 when my family was visiting relatives on Michigan's northern peninsula. My dad took me for a beer (I think it was my first legal one) at a bar in the middle of no where. We took them outside and there was a green ribbon dancing across the sky. Truly one of the most spectacular sights I have ever seen.

The forecast said there was a chance of seeing the northern lights tonight. Unfortunately even though the sky was clear we didn't see anything. I even tried some time lapse photos hoping to pull out some colors. No luck.

My wife and I were on a cruise in August in Alaskan waters a few years ago and the Northern Lights were so bright our whole cabin was lit up. If course, out on the ocean there are no trees to obscure the view, and there were no clouds. It was spectacular.
