Flashing Light 49, off of Chase Point, is out. I was out in the boat at night for the first time this year so I don’t know if this has been a long term issue.

I will say that it was comforting to have the Bizer app on my phone once I realized the there was no light.

I was always taught to navigate based on land masses and permanent features because buoys might be missing especially in the spring. If you're following the chart, you don't need to see the buoy itself to know that the water in a particular area should be approached with caution, or to swing wide around a (Chases) point.

I just reported to Marine Patrol that Flasher 49 has not yet been fixed.
