I keep Marine Patrol on speed dial:

Contact Marine Patrol (https://www.nhsp.dos.nh.gov/our-services/field-operations-bureau/marine-patrol/contact-marine-patrol)

Any other good ones to have?

Thank you!

Towing might be helpful some day.

You might want to keep the number for BoatUS for a tow. I know SeaTow also used to be on the lake but I don't know if they still service Winnipesaukee.

For emergencies you still might want to get a marine radio or handheld as there are still a lot of places where there is no cell service. This also allows you to put out a general distress call on channel 16 and either Marine Patrol or someone else on the lake may answer and either come to your aid or pass on a call for assistance.

I never go out on the lake without my marine radio, ever. I have ended up using it more than once over the years.

My Mom. I give her a call while boating then I say…”shoot Ma, this is hard to hear…I’ll try another time!”.

Boom, box checked for a few days.

I presume that he is talking about two fellow Forum members and boaters who he would call if he had a problem.

Thank you and it would be good if he gave the accurate answer himself.

Emergencies like a mechanical breakdown, or medical heart attack breakdown or a fire onboard will get assisted by another boat nearby by waving a paddle around, up in the air and waving a hand at the same time. There's almost always other boats around and this always get fast help including a free friendly boat tow back to your dock.

"Hey there buddy, I'll throw you a line."

You and everyone in your family should have ICE programmed in every phone.

ICE = In Case of Emergency

Program it for that one person that should be contacted (In Case of Emergency).
