Looking to the Forum for Pest Control Referrals.

A very unusual situation !
My issue is 'Hornets' ! They have somehow come through a bathroom fan vent from the outside of the house. The outside vent on the side of the house is about 20'+ feet above the ground

Once the hornets get inside the outside vent the hornets have worked their way up into the bath fan in the ceiling. Now the little buggers are coming out the slits in the fan cover.

As this is an unusual removal, I looking for a pest control company, that can handle this job. I have used local services, in the past but they told me they don't work at those heights on ladders outside. I'm on the Gilford side of the lake.

Thanks for your feedback, and recommendations, much appreciated !

In 2007, we discovered our new (to us) home had bats. The previous owner had been using JP Pest, so we gave them a shout and...a few days later we were bat-free.

Since then, we've used them for quite a few things that always get remedied quickly and for a reasonable price.

So, JP Pest!

Another vote for JP Pest. You may need the wildlife division. Not inexpensive, but they’re effective.

Garfield Pest. 603.424.7834. I use him on Welch Island in Gilford. Don't know about ladders. I've seen "smoke bombs" that you can set off in your attic for hornets. Don't know if you have to evacuate the house.

I contacted Garfield Pest Control out of Merrimac, and spoke to Owner
Rich Garfield, who came to my property, diagnosed my Hornet issue,
and eliminated my problem.

He had to climb a ladder 20+ feet on the side of my house to access the hive which was located inside a bathroom vent. The vent louvers were missing, so the hornets m and made a nest in the dryer-type hose. He had to wear a full suit with head-gear for safety. He then sprayed inside the hose to kill hornets then removed the nest.

He also had to do same on another bath fan vent about 10' horizontally away, that also had several louvers missing, which also had hornets beginning to nest.

Overall, he did an amazing job at a VERY reasonable price ! I would recommend him to anyone with pest issues.
