So this morning I was thinking about the Dive, and found their website to be under construction, and their facebook page to be disabled. Does anyone know if they are still trying to make a go of there business model, or not?

I just checked, and their Facebook page is working. Best of NH awards and posts from just last week.

Still going for it this year- their facebook page is live.

We chartered it for a day last season for a company event. Everyone had a blast and we are looking forward to doing it again this year!

I heard they are looking for a place to pump out. Someone needs to step up and help them.

Perhaps you mis-heard? People with septic systems all know to call a septic service and a truck comes to your site and pumps out.

Have to agree as even if they were docked somewhere and a truck did not have good access, there are a couple of barge services on the lake that have holding tanks in their barge to do pump outs. I believe one of the barges is capable of pumping 3000 gallons.... Really shouldn't be an issue for them...

I can't imagine that pump-out service would be an issue as others have said.

I would think the issue they would be facing this year, as they did last year, is having a home port, where they can re-supply with ease.

Now interesting others are reporting that they see the facebook page, but for some reason, I can't access it..... Did they lock down their facebook page, to keep the idiots from posting hatered etc?

The barge services could do it, but it may be cost prohibitive. Island Services charges like $1.00 per gallon for doing island septics. Not sure how big their holding tank is, but assuming they are dumping every day or two that could not only be expensive, but hard to arrange on a regular basis given the busy schedule of the barges.

As far as I know they are operating out of WAM again. Not sure why WAM can't do it, or have a truck pull in to the commercial pier where they dock and pump there. Given all of the legal woes with WAM they shouldn't be turning away any business....

My fear is they slow roll the gray water into the lake at night. There are so many rumors it’s hard to know what to believe.

Boats with marine heads, sinks, etc all have holding tanks for gray and black water. All are sealed systems and it is illegal to break the seal, never mind pump waste over board. Commercial vessels are inspected every year. I can't imagine any commercial vessel (or other business) would jeopardize their entire business in such a way.

That's a pretty stiff insinuation to make.

This vessel was built for inland waters, so I would be surprised if they put a Y-valve with dump on it.

Note it was my fear and not an insinuation. I’ve never seen a business that has been both vilified and lauded to such a degree. Not my cup of tea and I wouldn’t want it sitting in front of my house every weekend but they have every right to run their business legally even if it upsets some people.
