Not exactly malware, Onelaunch showed up as a default on my desktop, presumably from some advertising. Major PITA.

OneLaunch is a fork of the Chromium Browser based on Google Chrome, identical to WebNavigatorBrowser, WebFox, and WebDefence. OneLaunch is installed using adware bundler software, meaning it is most likely installed without the consent of the user.

Great difficulty getting rid of it, and when gone, many of my default settings, e.g. Winn ipesaukee.com were no longer functioning as before. Beware.

Yes--I was prompted to install this as well. It looked like garbage (and I was paying attention) so I dodged this one.

I was not so adept with the prompt to make Adobe Acrobat my default reader within Chrome. PIA prompt to buy more unnecessary software with every PDF. it even inspired to figure out how to uninstall this stuff. Not that I remember...

Be careful where you are surfing. I use googe news, which is mostly ok, but sometimes I end up in a link where pop ups start happening ( I use a pop up blocker, but sometimes it doesn't stop these sites. I immediately stop scrolling, to the tab and close it. Then I go back to the google page and click block or don't recommend this site. Also make sure you are running the windows security programs plus updates. Windows 11 has been pretty good on my machine.
