As we are getting older and kids seem to be always tied up, we have been thinking of adding wheels to our dock to make it easier to install. We have researched the kits on line and it appears they could work. One side of our dock is 4 sections 6'X10'. We have a second side that is four sections of 4'X10'.
Would be interested in any comments or suggestion from people who have wheel in docks now. How stable are they? Do they install easily ? Any issues? Did you buy the materials locally? Thanks in advance.

Why are your kids tied up?
Untie them!

We had a dock on wheels and if you are pulling it straight in and out I would say they aren't bad. But if you have to twist it around any angle, it's not real easy.

Must add the weight of the wheels filled with water adds to your effort required to move it around

Get an electric winch or even a boat trailer winch (manual) to hoist them out with. I'm sure with a little imagination you could rig up a mechanism to hoist those dock section out.
For years I had to winch my tractor-mounted snow blower setup into the shed up an incline and the boat winch did the job perfect.
