Through the Ice in Meredith?

Thursday night around 7:30, driving past the boat launch/boat docks in Meredith: saw several fire trucks with flashing lights. The firemen had one of the bright orange "sled" devices often used to bring folks across the ice after rescue. Does anyone know what happened? Didn't see anything on the news or in the papers today.

I saw that also. The lights weren't flashing when I went by and there were no police cars there. Could been a training exercise

Finally able to enter and search Citizen Online ... didn't find anything about any ice rescue in Meredith (nor anything in the 911 log). Did see this about last weeks odd rescue on Winnisquam. I'm thinking I've would have just left that idiot were he was and gone home. :mad:
