I remember St. Joan's church burning , but I don't remember many of the details. I was there seeing the burnt church in summer of 2000. I am looking for the story maybe in the paper Mainstreet or other paper. Please help!

This Church looks very much like St. Cecilia's in Wolfeboro where we worshiped when we stayed at Edward's on Wentworth formerly known as Edward's Vacation Spot. They were the best vacations I ever had. Started going there as a baby! The new Church, St. Katherine Drexel, is really beautiful. I love the was they incorporated items from both Churches into the design.

St. Cecilia's on Sewall Road in the 1920s where the rear of the Wolfeboro Inn is today. It was painted green for much if its' existence, was built on land given by George Carpenter in 1911 and was used until the new church was occupied on South Main Street in the 1940s. From 1950 through the early 60s this structure was utilized as Natalie's Guest House.
