Good afternoon,
We observed something interesting in the sky Saturday night around 9:30 over Melvin Bay. It appeared to be a string of horizontal lights about 20 - 30 ft in length. It seemed to be moving towards us then kind of fizzled upwards and disappeared. It appeared like a small star was remaining but hard to tell with so many stars.
We were wondering what it was. Someone thought it was a chinese lantern tied together but it was more like a twinkling bluish white light than a flame.
Did anyone else see this?

I saw the same thing as I was leaving the Weirs on FRIDAY night. It was about 9:30. Exactly as you described - a string of lights clearly visible which then disappeared.

Many people upstate New York in the Rochester Area reported seeing the same string of "lights"

No big deal….It’s just The Dive testing out their new electro-magnetic propulsion system. Sort of like drone technology, only better. Thanks to everyone at Area 51!

WMUR had posted a video Thursday about possible sightings for the Northern Lights, maybe that had something to do with it? It was said to be strongest Thursday and Friday night, but it was cloudy Thursday. Friday it did seem a bit more clear but I didn’t remember to look! 👽

After reading the replies from Think and Steve, I googled space-x satellite launch. The video that came up is what I saw on Friday.
