Remove thanks

I used to be able to remove “thanks” if I inadvertently put it on the wrong post. This no longer seems possible. Can an errant “thanks” be removed?

OK New, I hit thanks both as a test and as your post deserved a thanks. And I can't see a way to remove it.

It looks like one can remove thanks once again--at least it's possible today on my Android Smartphone.

Accidental insertion of thanks would be improved by longer and more descriptive titles. (At least longer than one's screen/user name). Space is tight on Smartphones.
