Been seeing increased material costs for conventional shrink wrapping so I started looking at other options. Came across a product called Transhield.
https://www.amazon.com/Transhield-V-Hull-Boat-Cover-21/dp/B00GKD5D0I/ref=sr_1_6?crid=37O8TPP4Z4W1M&keywords=transhield+boat+cover&qid=1636044907&qsid=138-9591072-7271604&sprefix=Transh%2Caps%2C301&sr=8-6&sres=B07Y5QV2H4%2CB00GKD5D0I%2CB09D5WG6MC%2CB07Y5P CYJG%2CB093LK5HQP%2CB07L9FZ9D1%2CB07YVLSYTZ%2CB00H QO907W%2CB00KG13MFI%2CB0749FKQGS%2CB01IVNARBO%2CB0 0KG12UU6%2CB08VCPLR3V%2CB07V3338T5%2CB07Z5QR5ZJ%2C B08RJ3DZTV%2CB08ZCJY7SM%2CB0155LY2HA%2CB08P2W8WNF% 2CB08RYTYSTM&srpt=VEHICLE_COVER

Price is right, especially if I can get 3 years or so out of it. Still need a support structure but easy enough to do. What I don't like is the apparent decreased slope for snow compared to most shrink wrapping.
Anyone have experience with the product?
I could also do a conventional tarp system but UV light would take its toll yearly and could be harsher on the gel.

No experience regarding use on a boat but I've used this material for outdoor storage of both large painted and gelcoat finished components at work. Product does well at protecting a finished surfaces, much better then a tarp or canvas material as the inner face has a non-woven finish vs. traditional shrink wrap film. We had no issue re-using our covers multiple times.

Also try white tarps for global warming. https://www.bing.com/search?q=Wkite+tarps+for+winter+outdoo+storage&cvid=fbf610a4023242779fcb9636f1e82785&aqs=edge..69i57.72857j0j1&pglt=2083&FORM=ANNTA1&PC=HCTS

Curious, how are white tarps good for global warming? Or did you mean white, being more reflective, reduces the greenhouse effect inside the tarp?
