Has anyone been out watching the meteor showers this week? Supposed to peak tonight (12/14) ... except the full moon makes it a bit tricky to see them clearly

Has anyone been out watching the meteor showers this week? Supposed to peak tonight (12/14) ... except the full moon makes it a bit tricky to see them clearly

Too cold for even me thanks :) I usually post a "heads up" about such things but this year I didn't bother since the moon was going wash out most of the show, which isn't expected to be spectacular. Best viewing times have been in the early AM, after the moon sets and before sunrise but that's now getting to be a short time interval. With the temps being what they are and after making a checklist* I decided not to post an advisory. Did you see any ?

*I checked my list ...
a) Cate Park has tall enough trees
b) Boats have sufficiently long lines
c) Boat people know how to tie knots
d) Temps are cold !
e) Meteors are expected to be few in number

So I by not posting a "heads up", I avoided an impromptu lynching at FFIII ;)
