Finally a great, swanky, upscale outdoor restaurant and bar at the Weirs! Tucked all the way at the end to the right past Weathervane. They did an amazing job. Had the Watermelon Sangria and a Clam Roll. Excellent. Limited but great menu includes oysters, carne asada tacos, lobster roll, tuna tartare, fun drinks. Anyone else tried it yet?

Great addition to the Weirs area.

I only hope that Laconia realizes the gem that the Weirs can be and allows for responsible growth and development. Everyone likes to “cling” to the past and the “anti-development” sentiment, as do I at times, but the Lakes Region needs an area that will allow for a year-round economy/destination that is sustainable for working professionals and younger families.

Bar Salida gives that feeling of forward progress for the Weirs. Good Luck!

Isn't the real question for the Weirs what type of development it will be? Just about everyone would acknowledge that the Weirs is fully developed already, I've never heard any environmental or neighborhood benefit to resisting new development in general. But I've heard plenty of debate about gentrification, I think that's what you've described as "year round for working professionals". That's probably more like Meredith and less like the center of Bike Week, just for example
