Craig Miles, the Founder of Miles Marine, passed away at home on January 12, 2021. He was only 64 years old. He fought FTD, vascular dementia, and Early Onset Alzheimer's for the last few years and unfortunately he has passed away.
There was no one who worked harder or loved his family more than he did. This is a true family business with his wife and sons all working there. Many of us who have used their services over the years have understood the long hours and dedication to the business that they have. Craig started and built up a successful business and set a fine example for all to follow, and they have.
The calling hours will be held at Wilkinson Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia on Friday January 22nd from 4-7.
For many years Miles Marine has employed people who have graduated from the Marine Trades program at Lakes Region Community College. To help students, and support the college, a scholarship fund in Craig's name has been established with Lakes Region Scholarship Fund and will be used to keep his stamp on the Marine industry strong.
In years to come the Miles family would like to award a scholarship to a student entering the Marine Trades industry each year. If you can, please consider making a donation. If you are able to do that put "In memory of Craig Miles" or "Miles Scholarship Fund" in the memo line on the form.
