We love lobsters but probably one of the most expensive items on a restaurant's menu. I saw an ad in Laconia Daily Sun about Potts Harbor Lobster that are selling lobsters from the Faro's parking lot at Weirs Beach on Saturdays from 10am to 3pm for $5.99/LB. Decided to check it out and got 2 1.5lb to cook for dinner and 1 1.25lb to make lobster salad. They were delicious hard shell lobsters which I steamed; next time going to try baked stuffed. They will apparently be there through Labor Day. Once a week lobster at a price cheaper than hamburgers.....lol.

Hannaford's and Shaws have been having $5.99/lb sales.

Baked stuffed are fairly easy. I also add shrimp and scallops.

Keep the shells and make a good seafood stock for pasta.

Yesterday Shaw’s was sold out! Did pickup a dozen at Hannafords and enjoyed a messy evening with the grandkids.

After a 1.5 lb lobster is cooked and shelled, what is the weight of the edible lobster meat? I'm guessin' (optimally) 7 oz.

Average is 4 oz for a 1 lb lobster.....more if you do leg and body meat
