I'm sure the administrator will take care of this when he gets a moment.I've actually been doing a lot behind the scenes this week to slow down a few trolls and other members who were turning what could be productive threads into political battlegrounds and bickering. I can't eliminate all politics and bickering but I think things have improved in the last week.

After some digging it appears that lakeporter65 did have at least 4 aliases in the past. All are now closely moderated and visitor messaging has been disabled.

My hope when I opened the COVID-19 area of the forum that, like the rest of this site, it would be mostly limited to how it was affecting Lakes Region businesses, activities, residents and visitors. If you want to make political statements this is really the wrong place for that. We should be able to have discussions and exchange information on this forum without the political animus. There are plenty of other sites for that.

Please help by keeping your comments within the context of the Lakes Region whenever possible. I can see that most of you are trying to do that while a few trolls unfortunately get all the attention.

I haven't posted for a while, so first HAPPY EASTER to all. This Easter feels a bit like a restrained celebration of Christianity, when it should be a joyous day for all.

I must apologize as I have a tendency to be to the right of Rush Limbaugh. Some of my posts / threads have peppered political cynicism which need to be toned down. This whole forum is about what a higher entity has given to us and that is the Lake. Don you do an outstanding job.

For boomers, we have never experienced anything quite like this, I remind my own brood that is probably a rehearsal for their time on Terra firma. Resilient we are. The minx has a liberal dose of anti-microbial in anticipation of the first dip in May.

You are a very kind person. The rest of us would not be as generous with our time to someone who has abused the forum repeatedly. Maybe one reason this is such a good place despite the split views on difficult topics? (I really don't know, it just strikes me as interesting.) Cheers
