Every once in a while it seems like the State does a good thing.

Thoughts any, over the years never cared one way or another never (traveled / went) that way.

https://www.wmur.com/article/nh-wont-charge-toll-at-exit-11-of-everett-turnpike-starting-wednesday/30368432I wouldn't go that far. I live in town and there's been a lot of back-and-forth with this.

The beginning: the two extra exits were put in at Merrimack's request. The extra expenses were to be paid for with the toll money, but over the years nobody could get a real answer as to how much was left on the bonds, if the toll money was being completely put towards the bonds, etc.

The state allowed the removal of the exit 12 toll a couple years back because that one was losing money. Exit 11 is not being taken down (as of yet)--there was a loophole that the executive board sets the rate whereas the state decides on tolls. The EB voted to set the rate at $0. So, some politicians did the right thing, but I'm not sure it's the state that should get credit.

Those are the facts as I know them based on the last decade of discussion officially and unofficially.
