This little bird showed up yesterday at my feeder. At first glance, it looked like a chickadee but it has a lot of yellow and is fluffy and rounder.
Sorry the pic is sideways, it wasn't that way in my file.

Appears to be a Yellow Warbler. However, most have left by the end of October.
A stray could still be present.

I believe the reason it is “fluffy and rounder” is because they fluff themselves up to keep warm! It’s been pretty frigid for the little guys and gals lately!

I think it's a female white-winged crossbill which is a year round native to northern NH, VT Maine. It's in the Finch family.
