Looking for the best prices on outdoor storage with shrinkwrap and winterizing. Would prefer somewhere that wouldn't mind if I could buff & wax the boat in the spring on their lot. Someone told me Miles Marine doesn't mind if you work on your boat in the spring. True?

Not sure if they still offer this deal, but Hillcrest Marine in Alton used to offer free outdoor storage if they winterized and wrapped your boat. I had mine there 2 years and it was great. Rick runs a good ship over there too, very dependable and great work.

Woa! I just looked at the website, and it looks like he sold to Irwin Marine. I had no idea. I don't know what that means to the deal I mentioned, but I would bet it's gone.

Dave's does winterizing and shrink wrapping. I've seen some boats stored outside during the winter. If you have a trailer, talk to them.
I've never heard of a marina that does not allow you to work on your own boat on the premises. Most boat owners do. ;)

I store my boat at Dave's. As far as I know they include winterizing, shrink wrap, bottom wash and storage for one price. I never had the nerve to wax my boat there, probably because it was sitting in a storage rack twenty feet in the air.
