You mean the ones who earn $50 plus million a year but think the CEO of a company that employs thousands and earns $5 Million is overpaid.

This thread intrigued me to watch the first episode of the show. The show is an example of how far we have fallen in search of an entertaining creation.

Anything that comes out of Hollywood these days is all garbage. Place is completely void of talent.

You can tell they suck when all they are doing these days is trying reboots of old shows or movie remakes that were successful and butcher them to death. Every time I happen to see a bumper for a sit-com these days it's not even funny, just stupid and crude and obviously an attempt to push a social agenda.

Yes then we must listen to them lecture us on their ideas based in some self subscribed prolific sense of "morality".

I think there is a lot of good content, you just need to look for it. Netflix, HBO, Showtime, etc. have excellent series.

There may be a few things here and there that are OK but if you look these days the majority of movies and tv shows are any combination of rude, disgusting, filled with sexual innuendo if not all out borderline porn, dark, violent, and seem more geared to pushing the shock factor than just entertaining. Seems that producing something simply fun or interesting to watch is taboo these days. Got to include the above check boxes or it will never see the light of day.

Guess it all comes down to what your idea of entertainment is.

I seem to spend as much timewatching youtube on my PC as I do watching cable programs on my TV.

Odd though that I sometimes conclude after channel surfing the 100's of cable offerings that "there's nothing good on TV," which is the same thing I said when there were only three channels +UHF back in the day.

I find the Science channel has fascinating series on like How the Universe Works. Nova is great also if not starting to push its climate change angle a little much for me. Lots of educational programs. I also enjoy reality shows like Gold Rush on the entertainment side. There is a lot of great stuff on you just need to find it.

There is plenty of good content on television, both cable and streaming. Madame Secretary is still excellent but sadly nearly over. This Is Us is lovely. Modern Family and Single Parents are hilarious. The Marvelous Mrs Maisel is, well, marvelous. The Crown is extraordinary. Anne with an E (a new version of Anne of Green Gables) is quite good.

All you need to do is look more closely for good content.

A fine list. I would add: The Wire, Fleabag (but not with your kids!), Killing Eve, and, if you really want to see a lake thrown under the bus--Ozark.
