It was 45 degrees here early this morning, and Wolfeboro Bay was filled with fog rising off the warmer water.

It was cold this morning! We were hoping for a nice boat ride, but the sun never did fully come out...Oh well.

The picture is a wonderful setting for an early fall picture. We beat ya with the low temp as it was 37.4 degrees here in ME. We too had some of that fog in the smaller inlets and if I had a camera, it would have been great getting a picture of the lobster boat coming out of the fog into the early morning sunlite going to check his traps.

We were actually out Sunday morning. It was chilly but absolutely beautiful and head clearing! The water did look fabulous at 7am. I unfortunately didnt have my camera. So, thank you for the great picture!!

Nice photo Don, yes that was a cold morning! We had a wee touch of white frost on our north facing porch roof. Not enough to kill mosquitos though.

I remember that we had to take the jet-ski out of the water. The air wasn't so bad, but if you got wet, forget about it!

It was interesting to watch the fog forming the night before. We had people over and had a campfire. As the night cooled you could see the fog forming tendrils rising off the lake. And let me tell ya, anything not directly heated by the campfire was wet ! We often get a "kewl" fog formation that in the AM rolls down and out of Alton Bay as the early morning sun starts to heat up the water and surroundings. The fog moves at a fair clip down the center of the bay while staying stationary along the sides. Both "Mee" and I had been unsuccessful in capturing a good picture of the event, which should be more frequent now (in the fall). Your picture has inspired me to redouble my efforts !
