Lakes Region resident. We've all heard them. Most of us have seen them.

The Laconia Daily Sun runs photos from readers that I have enjoyed.

This photo, however, is a bit wrong...Or am I wrong?

No you are not wrong. That is a male mallard.

If you toggle around you'll see a pic of a Loon sitting on a nest, not the Mallard.

And that photo was identified correctly but #4 & #6 are mallards. Sorry Celine from Belmont!
