It is always a pleasure to help forum members with this sort of thing. Bob if you edit your post and put a space after the date and before the http:// the link will work.
Also thanks to DRH who did all of the copying since I am on a slow link.. and of course to Don Z. who provides all the space for this on his server.

Thank you Sunset Bob. Those were great!
I loved hearing the toot of the steam whistle. Very cool.
Did anyone see Dave Thorpe's steam launch, Wickwas? (The contact for the Rally.)

Back in April there was a Civil War documentary on the History Channel. A friend of Dave's is the producer and a fellow steamboater. Footage of the Wickwas was shot last summer on Lake Champlain and five minutes or so of footage was used in the film. They were dressed in period Union Navy uniforms, as were the Confederate Rebels who staged an attack on the Wickwas. (Guess I should have shared this bit of information sooner. :o )
I got lucky and happened to catch the show at the exact time she was on and later taped the replay. Did anyone else see the show?
Unfortunately the Rally may not be in the cards for me this year. My in-laws are having a 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday and that leaves me with a few things to tie up here. Next year, for sure, I will make it to the 34th Annual Lee's Mills Steamboat Rally.
Thank you to all who attended and posted photos! :D

Hi Bob,
OK, great. I got your clips .. thanks !!!
I`m wondering though .. could I borrow your actual digital tape ? make a copy of it here ? The quality will be best that way.
And, regarding your old Hi-8 footage, I wouldn`t need that. Quality isn`t up to par. So, you needn`t bother searching for it. :-)
I`ll be up at the Lake often over the next few weeks .. maybe we could meet up sometime ?
Thank you SO much.
