My son-in-law will be coming to the Alton Bay area ( from Ct. ) for forestry work. He expects to be there mid June to mid August and he has a camper. Does anyone have any recommendations for a camp ground in that area? It looks like some places want you to be there for the "season" and of course he's just there to work and will only be there for the duration of the job.

Gunstock Campground is not to far away. If he speaks with Robin the campground manager she may be able to help him out with a camper site with electric / water hookups as they have them available even for non seasonal

You could try some of the seasonal places. If they have open spots they might rent for just the period he needs rather than leaving it empty. I think there are places in Roberts Cove, Bay Hill Rd, another on 28 just south of traffic circle and one close to the GILFORD/ALTON line on 11.

Turtle Kraal RV Park on Route 28 in Alton rents sites on short term and seasonal bases. They are just south of the Alton circle. Check their website. Heard lots of good things about the facilities. They have a website to inquire about site rentals. On their website they require a 2 night minimum stay @ $55/night or $350/week, $950/month thru June, $1050/month for July & August.
