Does anyone have any info on when they are doing their shake down cruise this Spring? I thought they had a Mother's Day brunch scheduled last year so if they are doing that again I would think it would be this week

There will be no Shakedown Cruise this year. The owner of the Mount confirmed that with me this morning. Of course the MP will still do their inspection but not with passengers aboard.

The Mount will return to the Weirs on Wednesday and start their season with a Mother's Day cruise on Sunday.

I also asked about the status of the Sophie C. I'll post the info in the Sophie C. thread when I hear back.

Anyone know if The Dive will always be docked at it's current location at Flightcraft or will it be moved to another area of Flightcraft? Didn't know the Mount was home at the Weirs because the Dive blocks the view. Will miss seeing the Mount at her summer home because of this.

Just saw the Mt. Washington pull into its berth at Weirs Beach.

Hoooray!

Instead of moving The Dive so the Mount Washington will show more than just a small key hole view of its' bridge area, maybe the cam shot camera could be moved way up high onto the roof of the Winnipesaukee Gardens for a really big view.

If The Dive gets moved all the way to the right on that dock, it will probably be in the way for the long term dock renter boats to get to their docks on the inside of the dock set-up, there, plus at 62 x 24' a good sturdy tie-up dock is needed. One of the little finger docks probably wouldn't be a safe tie-up.

If The Dive wants some freebie publicity, it should go slap a big sign promoting The Dive on the side of its' barge home so's it shows good in the cam shot ...... my two cent business advice !

And, oh yeah, here's another safety angle .... gotta wonder what the Laconia Fire Dept thinks about The Dive tied up, tied up so close to the gas pumps, there? This is like an unusual situation with the remote limited access, adult beverages, and gasoline pumps all so close together ..... just add careless disposal of a cigarette .... and what do you get .... :fire:?

I got lucky and was able to pull a picture off of the webcam coming into port.
