How F&G really feels about NH Clubs and the "SCHEME" aka Registration Discount
The clubs in NH are successful because they are independent and well run. Bureaucrats always want central control and money..... there is a lot of money in the clubs and they want their share. Unfortunately they will require a larger share and more and more of that money will get diverted to fat salaries and the associated fatter pensions. It is a sad turn of events, thanks for keeping up the good fight Winnocturn, but this state is turning into a mini Mass.....

I believe the p,an used to be that F & G was s supported by license fees. Fewer people are buying licenses and they are being called upon to do non-revenue stuff like Search and Rescue (Thank you SAR volunteers). So F & G is looking everywhere possible to bring up their revenue stream. F & G has an executve director and 10 commissioners, one from each county. Most state agencies have one commissioner. Draw whatever conclusions you like.

You seem to be beating a dead horse at this point.

There is a legislative commission studying this very issue. Presumably, they think the horse is still breathing. From the state House calendar for August 3:
COMMISSION TO STUDY THE EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS OF FISH AND GAME DEPARTMENT
OPERATIONS (RSA 206:1-d), Room 100, SH
10:00 a.m. Regular meeting.
