Noticed yesterday, a bluebird sitting atop a post on one of our 3 bluebird houses! This morning, observed a pair checking out one of the houses...glad to see these pretty little birds so early! I know as soon as the tree swallows show up there will be a fight for territory but hopefully, the little blue guys will persevere!

Blue birds never leave my yard anymore. The last 4 years they're winter residents as well.

Awesome! Do you keep some mealworms out for them?

I use to buy the suet with the meal worms in it but they don't carry it where I usually go, they will sometimes eat the suet with berries, or peanut mix though.

This past winter, bluebirds visited our house in southern NH. Our hanging feeders are small log sections with 3/4" shallow holes bored into them. The holes are filled with a mixture of cornmeal, bacon drippings, and creamy peanut butter. Several other species enjoy this yummy treat. 🐻

Go to Cornell Lab Bird Cams.
There are several cams to choose from.
Hawks: two out of three eggs have recently hatched (4/23) on the Red-tailed hawk cam- the third is soon to arrive!
Great camera placements and monitoring- includes instant communication with operators.

I know it's not Winni, but if you love watching birds, the three Redtail hawks on Cornell cams are about to fledge- @six weeks! These birds are beautiful!
