As many are aware, we had yet another substantial windstorm that resulted in many downed trees. The Moultonboro Snowmobile club really needs help assessing the situation on all of our trails.
Our hope is that members will walk their closest/ favorite trail and report back to us via our FB page (https://www.facebook.com/pg/MoultonboroSMC/posts/), via email trailmaster@moultonborosmc.org or posting a reply here.
We don't expect you to cut trees- only report back!

There is a large tree down across the trail on Corridor 15, between Route 25 and Lake Kanasatka.
Saturday work parties are tough for me to get to living in Mass. Is there anyone willing to do Sunday's? I have no problem getting up there Saturday nights.

Just sent you an email LG. I will get out and walk some trails if you can let me know what you have covered.

Thanks for the offers and assistance. SAB, we don't typically do anything organized on Sunday, but I will see if anyone wants to.

I walked from Far Echo Road up through Tecumseh and then up to Kona Farm Road. There are a couple of trees overhanging the trail just north of Far Echo, and then I was able to clear everything up through Tecumseh and as far as just south of the newly cleared building lot, where there is a blowdown across the trail. Once crossing Moult Neck Road, there are numerous blowdowns blocking the trail near and past the campground. Then several more along the way to Kona Farm Road. Probably 10 or so that will require a chainsaw.
One picture attached...there is a lot of work to do.

All the trees from our most recent wind storm have been cleared. We lost two weeks of trail work to catch up and we were still catching up from that big storm back in March. Be that as it may, we are finally caught up but we never really had time to cut back the branches sticking out in to the the trails. All trails are "passable" as of now but branches will hit the groomer.
