We are looking for a top notch contractor to do a small bath remodel in the Wolfeboro/Tuftonboro area this winter. Remove old tub unit and replace with a Tere-Stone shower, expand doorway, and tile floor.
Recommendations appreciated.

Have you folks used Tere stone before? It looks intriguing and I'd like to give it a try.

Also, Bella woods really is good (and I'm not related to him). A couple of the houses on his website are mine and he did great work for me. I just texted him and he hasn't used tere stone before though.

Minuteman Plumbing has a small showroom right here in Meredith which they specialize in Terra Stone and Swanstone installations with all of the associated accessories ( bench seats, niches, shower enclosures etc) They also offer all plumbing and bath fixtures and can provide all labor for complete kitchen and bathroom renovations. The owner's name is Phil Brown and their contact number is 603-279-1001.

Git'er done NOW. Expect a huge "migration" of skilled workers.

Winter arrives soon enough, and Florida beckons contractors.

We have a similar project for our home in Moultonborough: replacing and upgrading a bath tub in one bathroom and replacing and expanding a shower in another bathroom. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

We had a similar bathroom project done last fall. John Alvarez at Bathworks. Their new showroom is in Rt 16 in Ossipee. Reasonable price & very responsive customer service. They did a great job.

Doug, it seems a bit shady when you post recommendations for yourself without identifying that you are the owner of Bluebird construction.

If you are going to plug your own company, just own the post.

He just did it in another post as well. Really bizarre.

Look at his posting history. Same type of replies over 20 times. His company, Bluebird Construction, LLC, was dissolved by the NH Secretary of State in 2011 for failure to file Annual Reports as required by law.

Are these comment/s really necessary? If they are than how about posting the links where you got this info and also do some research to see if he is in business at the present time.

I certainly think the legal status of a person or entity using this forum to solicit business is relevant. I never said that he is not in some kind of business, just that his company was administratively dissolved. People can draw their own conclusions.

The information is public and is easily accessed on the NH Secretary of State’s website. Since you asked for the link, here it is:

This is the definition of Administrative Dissolution:
"Administrative Dissolution – Dissolution by Secretary of State for failure to file reports and/or fees and/or failure to maintain a registered agent."

Why did you pick "failure to file Annual Reports as required by law".
Maybe he just went out of business for a while.

I couldn't find where he failed to file annual reports, maybe you can guide me as to where it said that.

Because that is the reason his company was adminintratively dissolved. Click on the Filing History tab on the bottom of the page, lower left. You will see that the last Annual Report was filed in 2009 and the dissolution occurred in 2011. An Annual Reprt is required to be filed every year in order to avoid dissolution. If he went out of business for a while, he has taken no steps to reinstate his company. A business is either in good standing with the NH Secretary of State or it is not. There is no middle ground. I have no idea what the underlying reason(s) for the current status of the business might be. If there is a reason, good or bad, the reason is irrelevant as to the status of the business.

Hey there! Last year, I did a similar remodel on my bathroom, thinking it would be straightforward and fun. It turned out to be pretty challenging without professional help. The tub removal and tiling were especially tricky, and I definitely learned the hard way how valuable a good contractor is.
