Paugus Bay ice conditions

What is the ice like on Paugus Bay? How many inches of ice would you say is on the Bay?

Hard to say but it's still got coverage.
Lilly pond by the airport in Gilford is showing sign's of breaking up. Large holes in the ice and it looked thin. Rumor has it that ice out on the big lake is about 1 week behind Lilly pond ice out.
With water temps in the 40's it will be a while before your able to venture out without a winter jacket on. Year before last the air temp in Belmont was at or near 70, I'll bet the temp over the lake was closer to 50.
As I post this we have about 1/2 inch of snow and it's coming down hard. Yesterday we were racking up the yard, now it's snow covered.

The ice has receeded quite a bit along the shore, and is very dark. The channel is clear well past Lily's. There were a few fishing boats in the channel this weekend.
