+1 for Granite State Glass. They did custom screens for every window in my house after the previous owner decided to take the original screens with him. They have also done two glass shower doors and replaced the glass in three windows and a sliding glass door. Always very pleased with the work they have done.

Granite State Glass replaced some screens for me. They did a very good job and had a quick turn around time.

Everybody and his Aunt Nellie seems to repair modern, bead sealed screen doors, but we had to search some for someone who would re-screen our old style wood doors. We finally found an Ace in Ossipee that agreed to do it on the understanding that they couldn't guarantee that some of the trim wouldn't be broken in the process.

They did a very nice job.

Boulia Gorrell lumber yard on Fair St. in Laconia specializes in this. They build wooden screen doors and repair/rescreen older ones as well. They have a well equipped workshop that is separate from the retail store.

They built 3 wooden screen doors for our camp and I expect that they will be around for at least the next 50 - 70 years, or longer, based on the quality of the construction. The lumber yard stocks those hard-to-find moldings that are used in wooden screen doors. They even have the "dog-proof" screening as an option.

You won't be disappointed.

Good luck with your project.

Brought my antique wooden screen door to Allen in the millwork shop at Boulia Gorrell. He did an excellent job replacing the screens and salvaging the wood trim. Even cleaned it up a little. I have sanded and painted, door looks almost new, especially when you consider its age.

Thank You all for your suggestions,
Bill
