Hi,

I am looking to hire someone to move 4 large 26' white pine timbers from one yard to another (down a sloped driveway and across the street) in Sandwich. As well as move about 24 other smaller 16' timbers. Moving the smaller 24 timbers would only require a pickup truck as they are somewhat lighter. But moving the 4 large beams would require machinery, trailer, or a heavy duty dolly.

Welcome to the forum Neil. I can't help you but I am sure others will give you some leads.

Any thought of cutting large ones in half, wouldn't need machinery.

Hi, thanks for looking. The timbers that need to be moved are for a post and beam barn. So the timbers can not be cut and need to be moved without damage. Some timbers already have mortise and tenon cut into them.

We have had a lot of tree work done by Mark Kaar . In addition to tree work, he owns a team of Percheron horses that he uses to move timber on difficult terrain.

There is a you tube video of him working on a steep lot with his horses, I don't have the link for it. If you want to call him, his number is 603 528 2806 .

Good luck with your project
