What's new in Wolfeboro Bay?? Did you know that our local marina Goodhue and Hawkins is under new ownership/management? They will continue to operate as a full service marina. Hurray! Wolfeboro needs this. The new service/management team plan on working very hard to restore the reputation of this marina. Many will be please to know that they will be renting boats! Also,I have heard that they may have a few dock spaces available, if anyone out there is looking for one!

Great!!!! Wolfeboro is in dire need of a marina such as Goodhue and Hawkins. It will be refreshing to have it alive again. I understand John Beaulieu with years of experience in the Marina Industry is the new manager...Good Luck John, to a nice guy!

Has Goodhue Marine in Center Harbor changed hands?

Let me set the record clear here, John Beaulieu was not fired from WCYC. John resigned to take a better position at Goodhue & Hawkins Boat Yard and to further his career. Under John’s management our club has prospered and the moral was high. John left WCYC on good terms and quite frankly, the Board of Governors at WCYC is very concerned about the impact this shift in management have on our club.

I know I speak for many other club members as I applaud John for a job well done and wish him success in his new position.

Thorp,

Sorry to hear about your screen name, are you sure someone took Winnipesaukee Divers or maybe the name is "preregistered" because you posted photos. Maybe you should check into that if you have not already.

As far as the other name goes, looks kind of suspicious but could be a coincidence.

I've always enjoyed your posts. Good luck.

Looks like the jokesters have found ways of reeking havoc on this board already. For years I have been known on this board as Winnipesaukee Divers a name that fit my favorite sport, however, someone now has challenged me for that name and won. The jokester has also taken the name of my company (Heat Kits Inc.) and is using it to make false post here to inflame and hurt people.

I think that stinks for everyone that uses this board as a source for news and information about the area. I for one respect the information you provide and now will need to second guess wether the "regular" contributors are who they say they are. This feels to me like domain squatting that was done in the 90's although I don't think Winnipesaukee Divers will sell for a million dollars like Coke.comhttp://www.winnipesaukee.com/forums/images/icons/icon12.gif.

If anyone else has had there name stollen they might want to start a thread with the new names.

You spelled your username "Winnipesaukee Divers" in the past.

If you check the list of members, you will not find that username. Similar spelling; but not the same caps in the spelling - W and D. The username with the caps does not end with an s, after diver.

You're still here, you just need to find yourself (http://www.gifs.net/animate/argh.gif)...

There is no havoc being reeked that I can see. There are 2 different users, winnipesaukee divers and Winnpesaukee Diver [sic]. Didn't you register either of those names? Neither has had any messages posted.

The heatkits name may or may not be an attempt at deception. If you think it is please email me directly and I'll do something about it. Heatkits has only posted one message.

There are now 550 registered users and this is the first report of any name "stealing". I now have complete control over users, usernames and access on the Forum. If you think something deceptive is going on just let me know.

Your right, I screwed up when I reregistered, I fumbled it and left an “i” out of the name and dropped the “s” at the end. When I went to sign in again I was blocked from doing so and when I investigated it further I found my mistake…. I tried every possible editing process to correct it, except asking Webmaster Don for help.

Today I found that degrading post left by “heatkits” (another name I use on other BB) and investigated it further and found he got both names because he found my mistake. If whomever it is that doing this wants that name that much he is welcome to it…. After all, “What’s in a name”… But, I don’t want you or anyone else thinking I would defame anyone here on the forum that’s just not my style. I’ve never kept my identity a mystery, my bio paints me as I am and where I am, I just liked that name because it identified my passion for the sport and love for the lake. My posts have always tried to give you a view from the explorers prospective.

I’ll stick with my new, old name “Thorp Thomas” (formerly known as Winnipesaukee Divers who can’t spell worth a dam).

I have fixed the original mispelled name. You can now log in as Winnipesaukee Divers (instead of Winnpesaukee Diver) using the original password. I removed the other winnipesaukee divers user.

You are welcome to be Thorp instead but most Forum visitors recognize you as Winnipesaukee Divers and look for your posts.

If you have any other questions or comments about this please email me or move it over to the Site Support Forum.
