I'm finishing a room above my 2 car garage. Subbing out the work as I go along. I have an electrician finishing up in about 2 weeks and I will do the insulation and trim work myself. I'm looking for someone to do just the dry wall. The room is about 16' x 24'. Any recommendations in the Meredith area?

Doing just the drywall hanging, or hang the drywall & tape and mud as well?

Dan Enis Drywall located in Meredith. He did a 3200 sf house for me last year. Did good work for a good price. 603-455-4311

He's not returning my calls.

That makes it easy to cross him off your list then.....that's what I do when I don't get return calls from people who are supposed to be in business.

We used Fletcher Drywall out of Meredith. You may try them. Did a great job at good price for us.

Anyone ever use Jim Karwocki? He has all 5 star reviews. I'm meeting him this weekend for an estimate. I haven't been able to get through to too many the past couple days because of the lines being down.

When this thread started, Dan was told by his Dr that cancer was winning and he had 1-3 months left. He passed away yesterday.

Thanks for the explanation. Sounds like the Lakes Region has lost a fine craftsman. May he rest in peace.

The job was done last week by Jim Karwocki out of Sanbornton. Great guy and he did an excellent job. He was a little higher on his estimate than the others but came highly recommended. After doing business with him I can honestly say he was worth the little bit extra.

I have seen Enis Drywall recommended as the best at what they do in the area. Dan finished off my basement a couple years ago and did a great job. A very nice guy. A couple days ago I came across this...RIP Dan, and thank you!

I have basement to finish, I was thinking of calling him. That's too bad, though I'm not shocked about lung cancer. I have to wear a mask when I do sheetrock myself from all the dust, it really bothers me. My grandfather is battling pancreatic cancer. He was a builder his whole life and worked unprotected with pressure treated would for many years. Likely the cause of his cancer today.
