This last May, there was a thread about some rail cars causing a problem with trails north from Wolfboro. My son and I normally put in at canoe king in Ossipee and head up to Gorham from there. Is that still a viable route on 19 or does the rail car problem put a kink in that? Thanks, Mike

The problem you noted is at the very southerly end of the Corridor. Launching from Canoe King to points north is way above the actual problem and you will be good to go from there to points north as you have in the past, or still be able to travel slightly south to the intersection with 15 which brings you west up over the Castle trails and connects with the rest of the State system over towards Winni and Wolfeboro!
As a side-note....the donation jar in Canoe King is always in need of stuffing! :)

You can still travel south on Corridor 19 via the Seven lakes club trails towards Province Lake into Wakefield to By-pass that section of RR track thats off limits. To be able to continue south from there, depends if the lakes are frozen. You can see the area in question by looking at this map. I for one am very disappointed in the closing of this trail, as I live right on corridor 22 just to the north of Lake Wentworth.
