I would like to purchase a grill to bring/attach onto my Cobalt. Any recommendations?

Magma hands down. I got the Newport 2 IR model, pricey but well worth it.

Agree 100% spend the money on the Magma

I bought a round Magma last season. The round post mount was easily installed on the swim platform of my Sundeck. The grill and its post stow easily in an onboard compartment.

The grill is less effective on windy days but so far has easily cooked hamburgers, hot dogs and sausages. I have yet to try to cook a steak of any fish.

Cooking aboard requires a few untensils that, if forgotten, can make for interesting times. DAMHIK...

I bought mine on Amazon for significantly less than local sources. Before I get pilloried for "not supporting" local businesses, rest assured, they get a significant cut of my boating budget.

I too was thinking of this for my XMAS gift for next year. I have a open bow runabout with a rail going down each side of the boat. I also have a platform that I could mount but was thinking about trying to isolate for safety reasons. I was going to mount the grille on the rail in front of the driver in the open bow. This would isolate grille from kids, pets as they can be kept away from grille since your in the open bow.
Have two questions.

Is the bottom of the grille closed/sealed from any drippings.

If mounted on the rail would the grille be able to swing out/away while cooling down.

I thought there was other info on this site about Magma grilles but couldn't find it.
