I may be jumping the gun, but it was interesting to see what people logged for hours last year: 82.5 engine hours on our new tritoon, Boatie Two.

We did about 55 this year/summer. At 8760 hours per year, those will be, by far, the most enjoyable for me!

At 160 but the boat is still in the water. Going to try an sneak at least one more outing but the 10 day doesn't look good.

Here's a reference from last year ................

btw -- if you click on one of the "tally" numbers i.e. 37, 27, etc it will show you who is in each category

colt17, cominghome, cowisl, icg56, ishoot308, LongShort, Phantom, pjard, SAMIAM, TiltonBB, TriDad, Winnisquamer were the ones with some serious hours on the Lake last Season

Finally all -- remember - this is "Engine Hours" ......... not time spent on the Lake ...... sand bars, drifting in the Broads, etc don't count !! You need to be (unfortunately) "burning fuel" :)

This year with our great "new to us" boat, we were able to clock 60 hours! Unfortunately we both work full time jobs in Mass and have 2 young adult daughters with summer jobs so that limited the number of weekends we could enjoy the lake but we DID enjoy EVERY minute that we were able to!

(Last year we clocked about 30 hours when we had a smaller boat that kept us at the dock many times when we would rather be out on the water. A low freeboard boat and rough waters don't make for fun or safe boating! )

Just 18 engine hours. Call it disposable income, stress of maintaining / keeping a job, and simply not being able (from a diligence perspective) to take the time off.
Brought "Dawn" to Dave's last weekend for her long winter's nap. Had lunch at Ellacoya picnic tables before heading back, saw the new sandbar that wasn't there earlier and thought what sage wisdom I have!

@ 70hrs it looks like I was a little above the norm. But no where near the 100hr mark. Which is confusing since the Day Tripper tops out @ 28mph you'd think it would be more because it just flat out takes me longer to get anywhere

Too much time with a "can in yer hand" at a sand bar .....perhaps ?

I'll say what I said last year..."if trolling counts, lots!!" :)

Good point Phantom!! I guess it's still a short ride to the sandbar even at 28MPH:laugh:

We sold our Donzi Minx after 20 years of ownership..the hours of use had dropped to less than 15 hours per year.

There were more hours of maintenance and preparations for storage etc....than use. I did all my own work..totally. Time to part. :look: Just the way it is. NB

Oh: BTW: I'm 75.

NB,
You didn't have the vaunted LE! Sorta like the Eddie Bauer Edition.....oh sure!
At 62 it is the only vice I have left!
Chief Thundercloud has peeled away all of the "other" bad boy things that I nicely incorporated into my life (bless her, she saved me from the John Candy destination), but I have spoken (softly to her) the house will go before the boat!

It is really the only attachment that I have left to enjoy the lake.

40 hours, enjoyed every minute, still learning the lake so we took it very slow.

We had a great year logging about 130 engine hours.
Still hoping to get out next weekend before Sunday haul out, if the weather cooperates.

A lighter year than last ~ closer to 80 hours than 100. More time spent at anchor and swimming.

Was just a little over 70 hours on the boat this year.... and probably around 10 on the jetski....

The gas prices this year helped accumulate the hours on the boat, and decrease them on the jetski.....

Today was it for me. We got in 65 hours between the end of June and early september (130 if you count both engines :) ). I had it pulled and hauled away this morning.
