Opposite end of Black Island from Camp Waunakee near the peninsula of Tanglewood Shores there is (was) a cabin. During our summer visits in the seventies and eighties we would visit said cabin often. There were a lot of names carved into the walls of the cabin from all who have been there. Does anyone know if the cabin is still there or even standing?

Yes, the cabin is still there. I have not been in it but we are right across from it and the boys from the camp frequently have sleepovers there. It doesn't appear to be much of a cabin, more like a lean-to. I believe the whole island is the property of the camp.

Yes it was very "rustic" back then. There was a big stone fireplace in there too.

Thanks for your reply and update. I remember we have spoken before. We were the house next to Manos and your son-in-law (?) is next to Warners, the Jackson/Finnigan home.

Thanks again Denis!
