Nice job to the member of the Krigsmarine at 9.37 am doing 35-40 through the no wake zone on the Shep's end of Bear Island. No blue lights and no other boats in view.
And went out of their way to hit the short end of the zone.

The fish rots from the head Down! Nice job.

krigsmarine is the German Navy, both now and WWII.

He may not feel that way if he was on the capsized boat that was on Winnisquam last night.

And another viewpoint:

People (untrained) think that a Marine Patrol boat or a police cruiser must have their lights on and even their siren going if they are on the way to a call. There are numerous situations that arise that make it necessary for law enforcement to speed up but without lights and siren operating.

An officer with a suspicious traffic stop or a situation that may get out of control but does not represent an emergency is one. Another officer on patrol may head in that direction and speed up but at that point an all out response is not necessary.

A report of any type of accident or incident where that officer may be the second or third responding officer is another. Head that way, but don't kill yourself getting there.

So many people think that they can judge what trained professionals do, but they are usually wrong.

It is the same thing with fire department responses. People on the sidewalk at a building fire complain about the number of windows the fire department breaks out or the holes they cut in the roof, but they have no idea about fire science and proper ventilation procedures.

Well if he was on his way to an "emergency" then he needlessly delayed his response time by going to the west end of the no-wake zone (100 yards long?). Instead of just blowing through by the post office.

Lets call it Meredith Bay, only 2 boats me and him. West of the no-wake, as the direction he was headed not one boat down through Three Mile, nothing towards Blueberry Island. The only other boat out this early was a boat on a west/east direction headed towards Five Mile.
