Winni Water Height

From the Bizer link: "Due to reductions in funding from the State of New Hampshire, data collection and real-time data presentation by the USGS will be discontinued on June 30, 2005 at the following two stations:

01080000 Lake Winnipesaukee at Weirs Beach, NH
01072100 Salmon Falls River at Milton, NH "


Kind of a bummer, :( as I am one of the lake dwellers that uses the real time info, does anyone else know where I can find this info???

Wow -- what a drag. That site was very informative with the gauge height, temp and rainfall available. That was the only such station on the Lake, right? You'd think that the state would maintain a station on its largest body of water!

I was just looking at the Bizer graph and was going to comment, "Dam those guys are good" ... errr ... those dam guys are good ! Now I wonder if we'll have the graph any more ? Was this the source for the Bizer graph as well as the USGS tables & graph ? :confused:

But more seriously I'm now really motivated to put a measuring stick on my dock while I'm still able to correlate my readings to the true reading. May I humbly suggest some others do the same and then we could maintain our own database, reported here ? It wouldn't be as handy or as timely as the USGS data but it would be better than nothing. Is there someone in the Weirs area that could occasionally read the scale there ? What do y'all think ?

ps - mebbe I should rethink doing my Winni wave-o-meter :D
