Does anyone know of a scuba person who could retrieve a chain for a mooring in about 25 feet of water?

It's for a friend.

I told her I could do it with a mask but she doesn't know where it is exactly and I may need to stay down there for a little while longer than my lungs could stand.

Thanks in advance!

Go for it! If we don't hear from you we'll know what happened...

Just kidding!!!:D

I was on Newfound this week and threw my anchor overboard line and all...:eek
Luckily, I was only in 3 ft of water!!

Hi, I have used Dive Winnipesaukee in Wolfeboro. They are very reliable but it might be cheaper to buy new chain. Consider stainless steel as it lasts longer. My 2 cents worth.

Buy a 100 pound pull magnet and some light rope, as long as it is a steel chain. Done it many times in about 14 feet of water. Just takes some patience.

I used one like this: https://www.amazon.com/CMS-Magnetics%C2%AE-Powerful-Eyebolt-Retriving/dp/B008H40OXO/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1466273578&sr=8-5&keywords=magnet+100+lb

Mike could do it - he puts ours in every year, inspects the chain etc with scuba gear. I'm sure it doesn't have to be on an island for him to help!
