My son is coming home on leave from Iraq July 13-23. I am looking for reasonable waterfront lodging with boat slip, (18' aluminum bass boat), mid week for two nights. Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance.

I am looking for reasonable waterfront lodging with boat slip, (18' aluminum bass boat), mid week for two nights. Any suggestions? That is prime time and you'll pay peak rates. During July most cottages and cabins are rented by the week and probably booked solid. Your best option may be a waterfront hotel with docks. There are many of those around the lake but you could try the Center Harbor Inn (http://www.centerharborinn.com), the NASWA (http://www.naswa.com), Sandy Point (http://www.sandypointbeachresort.com) or Silver Sands (http://www.ssmotel.com).

The NASWA has a popular beach bar and may be a good choice if your son is looking for some fun. Wherever you end up I'm sure he'll enjoy the well deserved break. We all deeply appreciate his service to our country!

Good luck with your search. http://www.winnipesaukee.com/forums/images/smilies/patriot.gif
