Does the lake seem to be high for this time of year? I know we just received a lot of rain this past weekend but I thought it was high before it rained

Can't speak for the big lake but Winnisquam definitly seems high regardless of what the markings say.. Waters up over my cement wall which is unusual unless we get hard hard rain.

In my opinion yes! When I went out to my camp on Welch 1 1/2 weeks ago, I was surprised to see how high the water was...

Bizer website tracks lake height. As of two weeks ago, the lake was definitely above normal for this time of year:

The lake is only 5 inches from full at 504.32
Good for boating, but could prove a problem around docks if the lake freezes.

Can only imagine how tricky it must be to regulate the lake when there's been no snowfall....

This is the footbridge to Pixie Island with Christmas Island In the background. It's encased in ice. This could be a problem.
